These exhibits are digital versions of physical exhibits that UA Little Rock Downtown has hosted in its River Market District location.

In 1935, Joe Jones, a St. Louis artist, painted a mural on the walls of the dining hall at Commonwealth College, outside of Mena, Arkansas. When the college closed in 1940, the mural disappeared. This exhibit tells the origin story of the mural, its miraculous rediscovery in a home in Mena in the 1980s, restoration, and return to the public.
This digital exhibit explores the story of Abby Guy, an Arkansas woman who in 1855 sued William Daniel, a powerful land owner and slaveholder. Guy accused Daniel of kidnapping and enslaving her and her four children. The remarkable case of one woman trying to free herself and her children lasted for years, reaching the Arkansas Supreme Court twice.
